In the face of climate change and environmental challenges, we have seen quite some attention in the last decade for renewable materials: from fossil to bio. Today, the focus is shifting toward a more dynamic bioeconomy that develops biobased materials with high performances, good recyclability, and biodegradable properties.
The EUROMAGH BIOCOMPOSITES conference aims at highlighting the scientic and technical progress in the valorisation of biomass into biobased products, from the extraction of natural f ibres, the formulation of biopolymers and the manufacturing of biobased composites.
The summit will be an opportunity for researchers and industrialists to exchange with a wide audience about bio- based materials and the need to combine their efforts and experiences to promote the use of these materials.
Following the success of the previous editions, let’s welcome the fourth edition of the international conference EUROMAGH BIOCOMPOSITES. The Conference will feature a wide range of exciting talks, discussions, and networking opportunities with experts, researchers, and up-and-coming leaders in the field of biobased composites. We aim at highlighting the scientific and technical progress in the valorisation of biomass into biobased products, from the extraction of natural fibres, the formulation of biopolymers and the manufacturing of biobased composites
The summit is organized by the Cadi Ayyad universities of Marrakech (UCA), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Benguerir (UM6P),the Champagne-Ardenne University of Reims (URCA), and the EuroMaghreb BioComposites Network, which is an association with a regional vocation, involving countries from both shores of the Mediterranean. This edition will be hold in Marrakech under the theme:
“Biobased materials for a sustainable future”
These two days will be an opportunity for researchers and industrialists to exchange and combine their efforts and experiences to promote sustainable development.
The fourth EUROMAGH BIOCOMPOSITES Conference will be followed by the 4th EuroMaghrebine Spring School on April 28-29, 2023 in UM6P university, under the theme :
“Biobased materials and technology advances”
During the spring school, doctoral students and post-doctoral students (future specialists in GREEN MATERIALS from both shores of the Mediterranean) will attend seminars led by imminent professors from the community of composite materials and polymers.
